2 Men Charged for firearm and drug possession offenses in Brampton
Peel Police has charged two men in regards to firearm and drug possession offences. According to the Police, Officers from 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau conducted a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence in the area of Sandalwood Parkway and Bramalea Road in the City of Brampton. During the investigation, the Police team found a loaded .380 Colt firearm, a quantity of Canadian currency as well as a quantity of cocaine, heroin and MDMA in the residence. Derick Asiedu, a 22-year-old man from Brampton and Peter Ashu-Achare, a 26-year-old man from Brampton, was charged with the following offences:

Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x3
Peter Ashu-Achare
Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
Possession of Firearm Contrary to Order
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x3
Both men were held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on May 22, 2021
