Significant Snowfall in Toronto & GTA
Toronto and the rest of the GTA had a significant amount of snow on Saturday. Snow began to fall in the GTA around 9:30 a.m. and continued into the evening, leading to snow-covered roads and poor driving conditions. The OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) reported over 250 crashes were reported in the Greater Toronto Area since the region started to be hit by a snowstorm, which was the first significant snowfall of year 2020. As per Environment Canada, 16 cm of snow fell in Toronto and across the GTA including Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan.

Many areas also saw blowing snow as a result of strong wind gusts.
