Canada reports it’s first Coronavirus case in Toronto

Coronavirus, a deadly virus causing havoc in China has landed in Toronto, Canada through a traveler. While, Health officials were expecting this to happen sooner or later, people in Canada are shocked and seems already taking preventive measures to reduce the risk of further damage. The Infected person has not been identified yet but it reported that this man in his 50s who was taken to Toronto’s Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre with symptoms after travelling from the Chinese city of Wuhan to Guangzhou and then to Toronto on Wednesday. Health officials expect more coronavirus cases, but say risk of outbreak in Canada remains low as they are well prepared to counter any risk. The Greater Toronto Area hospitals are already facing shortgage of doctors and beds on regular basis and any possible outbreak of Coronavirus may create havoc for residents who are in dire need of medical assiatnce. 

As per WHO, Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.
