October 2017 Home Sales Report Brampton

The city of Brampton witnessed total sales of 650 homes in the month of  October 2017. Out of this, a total of 351 detached homes were sold while 139 semi-detached homes were sold.

34 condominium townhouses and  38 Condominium Apartments exchanged hands.

The average price for a home in Brampton for October 2017 was $669,389. For detached home, the average selling price is $775,170 while for Semidetached, the selling price is $599,832.

Out of available 1,429 homes which came out as new listings, only 650 homes were sold which clearly shows the trends of buyer’s market.

Year to Date 2017 Sales Report Brampton

This year, till date 7,537 homes were sold in Brampton alone out of listed 15,966 which means roughly half of the homes were unsold. Most the glut happened after March 2017, when new rules were introduced to curb the surge in real estate pricing.

A lot of new homes for sale in Brampton are coming this year and early next year. The introduction of Stress test for a mortgage will also be interesting to see. A lot of first time home buyers are waiting for prices to come down further but are also cautious of an instant surge if it happens.
